Job Description

  • The ideal candidate will be directly involved in the Development and implementation of the Bank’s Data Monetization Strategy working closely with the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and other relevant parties.


  • Partner with internal teams and other relevant stakeholders to set the strategic context for Monetization products and to develop new product ideas based on industry experience, contact with customers and representatives from relevant market sectors.
  • Create and Manage revenue lines stemming from Data Monetization.
  • Envision and define Monetization strategy (target, growth, & market share) and product delivery models (product offering/bundling, channel identification & pricing) for the bank’s data products for enhanced market penetration.
  • Responsible for the creation of Data Monetization frameworks, development of business cases, use cases and Monetization projects methodologies.
  • Continuously engage Data Governance, Data Privacy and Enterprise Analytics Teams on availability, suitability and quality of data used for development of Data Products.
  • Support and guide Monetization Team Leads in building dashboards/reports to track performance of Data Products.
  • Identify, negotiate, and execute strategic third-party and/or direct relationships for data enrichment and Data Products development.
  • Identify monetization opportunities aligned with the overall data monetization strategy.
  • Own and drive the roadmaps for new Data Products from ideation and development to product launch.
  • Identify potential partners/ users for the Bank’s Data Products & Services and engage them to get favorable terms for proposed monetization opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain strong direct relationships with external partners.
  • Collaborate with existing and potential partners to define new monetization routes and opportunities for growth.
  • Oversee the tracking of Monetization P&L.
  • Oversee the identification of opportunities to acquire and grow customer relationships and increase their profitability through improved targeting, best-in-class product/services, motivated sales force, and appropriate channel strategies.
  • Oversee the development of new business opportunities and concepts, ensuring that business proposals for the new ideas are developed, approved, and executed.
  • Preparation of Unit’s budget and dependencies/assumptions with current market realities, working with the CDO and Team Leads within specified timeframe for management’s review/approval to provide focus of the financial year.
  • Oversee the creation and Review of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with customers, partners, and vendors to ensure the bank’s interest is adequately protected in terms product/service performance, revenue generation and other internal stakeholders’ requirements such as: Audit, Operational risk management, information security, compliance etc.
  • Analyze and report on the performance of features in production, reflecting on successes and identifying areas for continuous improvement.
  • Tracking of value realization and measurement of business impact of Data Monetization initiatives during/after implementations.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, monitoring & evaluation of Data Products, Service and Initiatives that provide sizeable financial benefits to the organization.
  • Delegate Responsibilities by continuously evaluating team talent/skill sets available and talent/skill sets needed for an efficient and effective monetization function.
  • Closely manage outside consultant and research vendor spending and builds internal capabilities as appropriate, to ensure the greatest value / highest leverage for research investment.
  • Lead and Manage a cross-functional team across Monetization product development and Operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in working with data, strong data analysis and interpretation, preferably within an Insight Function.
  • Over 5 years analysis role utilizing statistical analysis to drive business growth within proven returns.
