Tes is supporting the appointment of a Teacher to join a School based in Surrey.

The School is located in the stunning market town on the south bank of the Thames in the borough of Surrey. It forms part of the Greater London built up area and is served by a wide range of transport routes to school, making it easily accessible. Their new specialist school will cater for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs.

For over 16 years, Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.

Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum

Main Purpose of the Job

To provide a high-quality education service for their students in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body.

Essential:

  • Experience of work within an education setting
  • Experience of planning, delivering and teaching lessons
  • Relevant Teaching Qualification
  • Willingness to work towards further qualifications as required
  • Undertake relevant group induction training on commencement

Desirable:

  • Experience of work with autistic spectrum disorders and/or challenging behaviour
  • Driving licence
