NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this position is 5 days over 7 between Flexible to suit needs of the service.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Health Care Support Worker to continue to develop their skills and competencies providing care to people in the community setting. The post holder will support the District Nursing team in delivering care to patients within Renfrewshire, providing accessible, appropriate, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective nursing service to adults living in the community, by working in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies.
The post holder will work collaboratively with the District Nursing teams and assist in the implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients and their carers, under the supervision of the District Nurse or their deputy.
To contribute to health improvement initiatives to individuals and families on the caseload and to the wider community.
Required to work flexibly in terms of location to support other areas of team working within the DN service.
Recent experience working within a community setting is desirable.
