Job Title: Front Desk Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Welcoming patients and visitors;
  • Answering physical, telephone and email inquiries;
  • Generating patient cards and files both on the HMIS system and on paper;
  • Scheduling patient appointments;
  • Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and documentation;
  • Keeping a clean, organized and calm reception area;
  • Processing billing and payments;
  • Liaising with Medicare and HMOs;
  • Handling document management and control;
  • Comforting distressed patients – this may range from simply fixing any appointment issues that may arise, through to being the voice of comfort during times of extreme stress and emergency;
  • Monitoring and ordering stationery and cleaning supplies;
  • Managing the hospital’s social media presence;
  • Booking and organising staff and doctor meetings;
  • Maintaining information confidentiality at all times;
  • Providing and generating relevant reports;
  • Liaising with all the medical departments with professionalism and discretion.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be comfortable working in a hospital
  • Must possess an OND / HND in Communications, Public Relations, Office Administration or any other requisite field
  • 2 – 4 years of work experience.
  • Gender: Female.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Planning and organizing abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with different groups of people.
  • Multitasking abilities.
  • Efficient time management skills.
