This Special Education School in Leicestershire are looking for a Humanities Teacher​ to join their School team.

About the role

The school is a specialist independent school which provides education, residential care and therapy for young people aged 8-18 with Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ASC or related conditions.

You will teach Humanities plus an additional subject across the national curriculum to students aged between 11-18 and be a form tutor for students to support them in their education.

Purpose of Job:

  1. To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Head of Education.
  2. In consultation with the Head of Education to undertake other identified areas of responsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the school’s curriculum.


  • Educated to L3 or A Level equivalent
  • Relevant Humanities qualification
  • Experience of working with children with SEN
  • Delivery of Humanities curriculum


  • Degree / QTS
  • 2 or more years classroom experience preferably in secondary education

Salary: £33,600 per annum
